Workshop nr. 1 on Writing Art Project Proposals

April 14 @ 14:30 - 17:30

Free

You work in arts and design and you need funding?

Learn all about Dutch foundations and how to write project proposals from a professional fundraiser.

In the Netherlands there are different options to find funding for art and cultural projects. Local governments, private and public foundations have money available to help you turn your idea into reality. But where to start? In these three workshops you will learn how to do just that. In the first workshop you will learn about the Dutch subsidy system, how the application procedures work, what the various criteria are. Then you will go to work: you will start with your own proposal and budget for your own project. You will learn how to structure a proposal -what are all the things you need to mention- and how to draft a budget. We will work on these for the following two workshops so that afterwards you have a decent format to base your next proposals on.

Workshop leader:

Merel Schrijvers is a professional fundraiser with a degree in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship. She has years of experience writing proposals in the arts sector. She knows the Dutch foundations, their specific approaches, their do’s and don’t’s. All of this she will share with you. You can find more info on www.merelschrijvers.nl.
